JEALOUS

America was established on the principle of religious freedom, but today it seems that "political correctness" is driving the God that our forefathers worshipped out of this country, after all we can't offend atheists and other religions that don't believe that Jesus Christ is both God and man, and the only way to be reconciled with God the Father.

It's amazing to me that lawmakers and judges, who say they believe in God, are trying to legislate Him out of our society. Don't get me wrong, they have a right to believe as they do, but so do Christians. Why isn't anyone afraid of offending us?

Our Constitution, which was designed by our forefathers to protect our religious freedoms, has been twisted into a weapon against the freedom of Christians. It states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

“The establishment of religion clause means at least this: Neither a state nor the federal government may set up a church. Neither can pass laws that aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another. Neither can force a person to go to or to remain away from church against his will or force him to profess a belief or disbelief in any religion... . Neither a state or the federal government may, openly or secretly, participate in the affairs of any religious organizations or groups and vice versa. In the words of Jefferson, the clause against establishment of religion by law was intended to erect 'a wall of separation between church and state".

The religious rights of everyone it seems, except Christians, are protected, but according to the Bible Christianity is the only religion God accepts, that is why Satan is fighting it with every weapon in his arsenal. He is responsible for all the false religions and idols people are turning to today, and Almighty God is jealous of the affection and attention people pour into these deceptions. In Isaiah 44 and Jeremiah 51 God ridicules people who worship false gods and idols.

Why would an eternal Spirit being, far superior to us, our Creator, be jealous if we have a greater affection for idols, other god's, worldly possessions, or emotional attachments than we do for Him? The bible says he is, but why?

We are spirits, created by God, in his image. We have a soul and we live in a body. When God re-created the earth Adam and Eve walked with God and were joined with Him in Spirit. When they fell they became separated from God. We are not, nor have we ever been animals but without the spiritual attachment to God we could just as well be animals as the beings God created, precious in his sight, joined to Him in our spirits. Satan and our world systems have engendered the belief that we are nothing more than animals and therefore we need laws and rules to circumvent our animalistic natures. Don't get me wrong, laws are a good thing, God made laws, rules, regulations and commandments, but it would be much better to be joined again to God in our Spirits so that His ways of being and behaving rule in our hearts (Galatians 5:16,17, 1 Corinthians 6:17). The way back to God is to confess and allow Jesus Christ to be Lord of our lives, and believe that God raised Him from the dead thereby breaking every bondage sin holds over us. (Read my previous posts, "How Much Are You Worth?", "Born Again?", "This Way To A New Life.", and The Most Important Decision Of Your Life!!!" for more information about God's free gift of salvation.)

God is jealous, not for His sake, but for ours. He knows apart from Him our entire existence is futile. Once created we were eternal spirit beings, but if we don't reconcile with God through His son, we cannot be with God forever, we will be forever separated from Him.
